Mission Statement

This website is dedicated to the defeat of Trump in the 2020 election. It was opened in the realization that in order to achieve that goal, we will need millions of similar, public expressions of a desire for change, a desire to really make America great again by getting rid of a deviant president in an orderly and lawful manner which future generations will find to have been more consistent with the legacy of our founders than was his tenure. We need millions more voters to go to the polls in November 2020 than went in 2016. To achieve that, those voters need a clear vision of a better future, not just a future which is better because Trump is not a part of it, but a future with better aspirations. We want to leave Trump’s supporters with their legacy, their need to explain why they supported him.

In order to do our part, we are determined that this site will provide a resource of perspective and clarity of thought to others who can use those things in their own way not only to help remove him, but to undo the damage he has done and recreate a future worth working toward. We include not just evaluations of Trump himself and his effect on others, but also unique commentary on issues of importance to the electorate generally, because choosing the best way forward is the best way of rectifying the Trump travesty.  Think of us as a wholesale forum for good ideas.

This is not a news site. Any news we reference has been reported elsewhere. We try to follow a variety of elsewhere’s. We look to cable news of both the Fox and Fake persuasion, and to print sources such as the New York Times (“All the News that is Fit to Print’), The Washington Post and Barron’s, which is controlled by the Wall Street Journal organization (“the Facts Matter. The Truth Matters.”) We also stray occasionally into the fringe, where organizations which purport to offer news really have vastly different agendas. From time to time we listen to prime time and not-quite-ready-for-prime-time local and national radio talk shows and read White House releases, but there is only so much time.

In that regard, this site is dedicated to absolute factual accuracy. If you find an error, let us know and it will be corrected.

We also believe that it is not good enough to speak or write the facts and the truth. There must be perspective derived from experience and careful evaluation. We believe that perspective provides feedback to test the validity of the original observations. We try to be as comprehensive as possible until we have a workable theory and then we run with it until we find credible, conflicting evidence. At that point, we re-evaluate. You can find our working theory on Trump on the “Two Laws” section of this site.

This is not a political site. If politics was ever noble, it certainly is no longer so. We do not wish to be associated with a label. We are opposed to Trump not because he is Republican, but because he is dangerous and because he is a serious threat to our way of life. He is a serious threat even to our very existence. Furthermore, we are not opposed to Republicans or Democrats because they are Republicans or Democrats, but we do believe that tribal allegiances are likely the key causes of large numbers of the electorate making choices against their own interests. We also find that, even aside from the normal corruption and greed, that both parties are perhaps fatally flawed, the Republicans now by an unrealistic devotion to a past which never existed and the Democrats by an unrealistic devotion to a future which can never be.   In addition, Trump reports that 96% of Republicans support him.  We are opposed to that 96% and find that their affinity for Trump deplorable.

We work with an informal advisory group, but their identities are confidential and will remain so until such time, if ever, as they choose to make themselves known. Except as explicitly stated otherwise, the opinions expressed here are those of the Author and he is solely responsible for the content of this site. If we publish a contributor’s offering, we will say whether it is with our support or opprobrium.

Prior to the official publication of this site in September 2019, we released 36 opinion pieces via email to a select group of readers. Those statements are available elsewhere on this site. It is our plan to release new Installments in the same manner, first to those who have asked for them and then on the site.

From time to time, there will also be new additions, the most important of which will be a discussion of current issues.

This site has neither commercial nor donative sources of income.

These Installments are absolutely devoted to factual correctness.  If you see an error, let us know immediately.

The small "p" in "president" is not a typo.  The disrespect is intentional.  The press should quit referring to him as “President Trump” or even “the President,”  and certainly not “President Donald J. Trump.”  That last one, with the “J”, is an amazing affectation, invented by DT himself.  Do we need the “J” to be sure the reference is correct?  Are there others with the name “President Donald Trump” from whom he should be distinguished?  No, he should be referenced only as “Trump”.  No honorific.  In these Installments, we do not use his name.  Instead we refer to him as DT, his son Eric as DTE, his son Junior as DT2, his son-in-law Jared as DTNL, his daughter Ivanka as DTI and the other one as DTT.  The group of them are sometimes referred to as the DT’s.  The White House is WH.  FLOTUS is FLOTUS.
